Funded by The Colorado Trust, the Community Integration Collaborative (CIC) is Full Circle’s newest program. The project began in 2004 with a planning grant to hold community input sessions to define the best way of integrating Leadville’s diverse populations. In August 2005, Mayela Guerrero, past facilitator of the Full Circle Family Support Project, was selected by the CIC Advisory Board to lead the new community integration initiative.
A short time later, the Community Integration Resource Center (CRC) opened at 113 E. 5th Street. The Center provides a variety of community trainings, translation services, and acts as a clearinghouse for community services and information. Through a variety of trainings, meetings, and walk-in clients, the CRC serves over 200 clients per year.
The Community Integration Collaborative developed a four-year plan designed to increase integration among all residents of Lake County. We aim to encompass all elements of our community, including the realms of education, business, law, health care, and the wide-ranging expertise of our community members.
