Boogie Down Productions is Full Circle’s DJ Club. High school students attend weekly practices to learn the skills of playing music for a larger audience. Participants learn about segues, public speaking, as well as the set-up, take-down, and operation of the equipment. Students also engage in discussions about music styles, lyrics, and careers. Once student DJs are trained, they venture out into the community to DJ functions, such as the High School’s Annual Homecoming Dance. In a typical year, the group performs at nearly two dozen events, more than half of which are donated to the community.

Full CircleW(rec)K-LESS is one of Full Circle’s most popular programs. The after-school, activity-focused program works with youth on issues related to drinking and driving between the ages of 13-17. We are excited about the outcomes associated with this program, as participating students show statistically significant decreases in alcohol use over a 30-day period.

Latinos Unidos targets high school-aged Latino youth. Members attend weekly activities that focus on developing skills and building on strengths. Full Circle incorporates education around alcohol, drugs, violence, and other negative behaviors into fun alternative activities. The Latino Unidos group was established as an initial step in helping Latino youth integrate into other programs and develop leadership skills.

S.A.D.D (Students Against Destructive Decisions)
Originally, the mission of the SADD chapter was to help young people say 'No' to drinking and driving. Today, the mission has expanded. Students have told us that positive peer pressure, role models and other strategies can help them say 'No' to more than drinking and driving. And that is why SADD has become a peer leadership organization dedicated to preventing destructive decisions, particularly underage drinking, other drug use, impaired driving, teen violence and teen depression and suicide. In efforts for students to help each other, Full Circle has started a new SADD chapter at Lake County High School. Any high school student can join!!!!

Full Circle provides opportunities, education and caring relationships to help Lake County become a place where children make healthy choices, families thrive and the community is united.
