Alice’s Bio:
Experience: I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ecuador from 1980-1983. I have helped empower young people as a high school employment counselor, disability career coach, and as the Executive Director of Full Circle Leadville.

Family: Arianna and Kimberly are my two daughters, who keep Ken and me laughing and thoroughly enjoying life. Stellaluna is our kitten, who dances with curiosity. Full Circle is my “third child.”

Hobbies: I am a storyteller and I love the outdoors

Bill Nelson

Bill’s Bio:
Experience: Twelve years working with youth. I have experienced many, many activities with all ages of youth. Somehow my brain has turned into Jell-O but that is okay the kids seem to like me better that way.

Family: Renee Nelson (Raiders fan or fan of anyone who plays the Broncos) – My Beautiful Wife. She has tolerated all my time spent away on trips with kids and late night gigs DJing the newest event. She is a wonderful woman who loves to give me crap about how I do not work but still get paid for it! Billy Nelson (Raiders fan) he is 10 years old. He loves the outdoors and doing anything with the family. He is also determined that the Raiders will someday win the Super bowl again. Hunter Nelson (Cowboys fan) he is 6 years old. He loves to hang out with his older brother and being with the family. He is one wild and crazy kid who seems to be the actor of the family.

Hobbies: Hiking, fishing, hunting, camping, music, snowboarding, football (Minnesota Vikings fan), among many other things- It just depends on the day and how much money I DON’T have in my pocket.

Mayela Guerrero

Mayela’s Bio:
Experience: I recruit families to participate in the Strengthening Latino Families and the Dare to be you classes; I also facilitate at least three classes each year for parents. I meet with families and parents on weekly basis to assess needs, offer referral services and offer support. I initiate and facilitate a Mothers’ Empowerment Group that fosters bonding to the larger community, discuss appropriate parenting skills, generates support for each other, give each individual the opportunity to show other their personal skills such as: sewing, knitting, cooking and address the specific needs of the Latino families. Through my work at Full Circle, I provide assistance for Full Circle and the Latino Community through translations to interpreting. I enjoy facilitating the children’s activities (grades 4-6) on weekly basis

My Family: My husband, Jaime, and I have 3 children, David 13, Jacob 9, Rosie 7 and our dog, Ginger, a female collie mix Labrador.

My Hobbies: I love spending time with my children from sledding, swimming, reading together, cross country skiing to ice skating. I love to keep in touch with my brothers (2) and my sisters (5).

Experience: Various experiences include (but are not limited to): Initial Attack Wild-land Firefighter in Montana, Prescribed-burn Technician for South Carolina Nature Conservancy, teacher, Archeology Field-technician in Tennessee, cook, baker, NOLS graduate, ranch-hand, soccer coach, volunteer/researcher for Nashville Center for Peace and Justice, and graduate assistant in the Vanderbilt University Special Collections and Rare Books library/vault.

Family: Wife: Nancy, Son: Gabriel, Dog-that-thinks-she’s-not: Chloe, and our dearly departed dog: Sage

Experience: 6 years of full-time classroom teaching, including Wisconsin, rural Alaska, and Colorado, Outdoor Recreation and Leadership with Camp Possible and Madison School Community Recreation, Environmental Education with Upham Woods Outdoor Education Center and Project Wild Teacher Training.

Makali’s Bio:
Experience: Five years experience working with youth as a soccer coach, parapro at Lake County Middle School and Full Circle Volunteer Mentor. Served in Alabama National Guard from 1999-2006 including 10months in Tikrit, Iraq as a Communications Specialist.

Family: The whole extended Beck Clan from Alabama to Leadville, as well as his mother and sister in Alabama.

Ruthann Ruthann Schoeffield

Ruthann’s Bio:
Experience:I’ve been involved in the nonprofit sector for what seems like a very long time. From teaching art in public schools, the Denver Art Museum and the Arvada Center for the Arts, to organizing and providing support services for grassroots nonprofits in central Colorado, I have found great joy and satisfaction in the work, dedication and camaraderie of clients and colleagues. It is a pleasure to serve in the role of Development Director for Full Circle, an organization I have long admired.

Family :My husband, a writer, newspaper editor and avid fisherman, and I have a son who is studying illustration at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in Lakewood, Colorado.

Hobbies/Interests:I enjoy the simple pleasures of living in the Rocky Mountains of central Colorado…hiking, biking, skiing, gardening and reading whatever comes my way. Travel is also at the top of my bucket list.
